Blue Bombers Strength OL with American Eric Lofton

WINNIPEG, MB.,  – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have announced the club has signed American offensive player Eric Lofton to a one-year contract.

Eric Lofton is a six-foot-four 300 pound offensive linemen out of Temple University. During his amateur career at Temple, Loft appeared in 39 games and was lauded multiple awards his senior season including first team(AAC) All-Conference, Phil Steele second team All-Conference, and ECAC All-star.

After the completion of his career at Temple Lofton tried out for multiple NFL teams, but was unable to land a deal with any team. He later on signed a deal to join the Ottawa Redblacks for two season and then Edmonton Elks for the 2019 before coming to Winnipeg.

Lofton has appeared in six games including the 2019 Eastern Semi-Finals against the Montreal Alouettes.
