BC Lions Bring Back American WR and Returner Jermaine Jackson

The BC Lions announced on Tuesday the signing of American wide receiver and returner Jermaine Jackson to the practice roster. Jackson previously joined the Lions ahead of the 2025 season, but was released amid final roster cuts ahead of the 2025 season.

WR Jermaine Jackson - Idaho (5’8, 180 lbs)

Jermaine Jackson originally joined the BC Lions ahead of the 2025 season and was with the team until he was released in final roster cuts ahead of that season on May 31. Now, just over 2 weeks later, he is back with the organization.

Jackson’s first appearance in the CFL saw him lead the Lions in the first preseason game of the 2025 season when he caught all 4 of his targets for 54 yards and a touchdown. He has played in 4 total preseason games for BC, which has seen him catch 10 of his 12 targets for 83 yards and a touchdown. He also returned 5 kickoffs for 103 yards and 6 punts for 39 yards.

He dressed in 4 regular season games last season, which saw him catch 9 of his 14 targets for 61 yards. He also returned 7 kickoffs for 146 yards and 10 punts for 83 yards.

Jackson began his collegiate career with San Mateo (CA) Juco in 2018 before transferring to Idaho. At Idaho, he caught 109 passes for 1,737 yards and 5 touchdowns over 31 games with 23 starts. He had over 1,200 return yards with Idaho and 4 return touchdowns.

He signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2024 and handled return duties in 4 games, returning 8 kickoffs for 187 yards and 7 punts for 68 yards.
