CFL Issues Apology After Official Drops F Bomb During Game

Official Tom Vallesi forgot to turn off his mic during a game between the the Edmonton Elks and Saskatchewan Roughriders. He was announcing that the Roughriders had called a timeout before the start of the second half, then said 'F*&% Them'. This was heard throughout Mosaic Stadium and live on TV.

CFL PR quickly released this statement

"Earlier this evening, one of our officials used an expletive during the Riders-Elks game and it was picked up by an open microphone. We wish to apologize to any and all who were offended. The referee responsible has asked us to personally express his deep regrets, as well."

Not sure what prompted this type of reaction for the ref but some fans are not happy.

Vallesi, has been officiating football for 33 years and teaches at a Secondary School. Looks like he has some explaining to do for his students.
