CFL PR: In Photos; Grey Cup Arrives In Vancouver

Iconic trophy arrives by air and sea

The Grey Cup trophy has arrived in Vancouver ahead of the 111th Grey Cup. The championship trophy was first flown in aboard a CH-149 Cormorant from 19 Wing Comox, before travelling across Vancouver Harbour via rigid-hulled inflatable boat (RHIB) dispatched from HMCS Discovery.

The Grey Cup then arrived at the Vancouver Convention Centre for an official welcoming ceremony, featuring Mayor Ken Sim of the City of Vancouver, President Duane Vienneau of the BC Lions, Commissioner Randy Ambrosie of the Canadian Football League (CFL), and Colonel Christopher Shapka, the Commander of 19 Wing Comox and a 10-year CFL official.
