One of the most sought-after free agents available lands in the City of Champions.  The Edmonton Elks added one of the best defensive backs in the game, Royce Metchie with a two-year deal.

Since arriving in the CFL and being selected in the 3rd round, 25th overall by the Calgary Stampeders, he has been consistent throughout his football career.

With 79 games played, 310 defensive tackles, and eight interceptions, the Elks land a rock on the defence.  He brings a lot of leadership on the defensive side of the ball with a Grey Cup with Calgary (2018) and Toronto (2022 and 2024)
