Leonard, White and Pickett named Top Performers

TORONTO (October 18, 2022) – Richard Leonard, Tim White and Adarius Pickett are the Canadian Football League (CFL)’s Top Performers for Week 19 of the 2022 season.

The three players were chosen by a panel of judges made up of Matt Dunigan and Marshall Ferguson of TSN, and Pierre Vercheval of RDS, who independently send their selections to the CFL league office.

DB | RICHARD LEONARD | HAMILTON TIGER-CATS | HAM 35 – CGY 32

• Nine total tackles (8 DT, 1 ST), two interceptions and one touchdown
• 66 return yards on two interceptions, including a 64-yard pick-six
• Fourth career multi-interception game
• Third career touchdown
• 2022 Season: 59 tackles, one special teams tackle, four interceptions, one sack, one forced fumble and one touchdown
• Highlights:
  • Ticats force another INT
  • Leonard nabs his second INT and scores

WR | TIM WHITE | HAMILTON TIGER-CATS | HAM 35 – CGY 32

• Six receptions for 106 yards and one touchdown
• Averaged 17.7 yards per catch
• Fifth 100+ yard receiving game this season
• Second Top Performer honour (Week 11)
• 2022 Season: Career-highs in catches (87), receiving yards (1,152) and touchdowns (8)
• Highlights:
  • White coming up clutch in triple coverage
  • Evans finds White for game-winning score

DB | ADARIUS PICKETT | MONTREAL ALOUETTES | MTL 34 – OTT 30

• Career-high 11 total tackles (10 DT, 1 ST) in a game
• Recovered a fumble and returned it 16-yards for first career touchdown
• 2022 Season: 62 tackles, five special teams tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception and one touchdown
• Highlight:
  • Pickett recovers fumble and takes it to the house
