The Tiger-Cats continue to add beef to their offensive line. Moses Johnson is the newest addition to the Hamilton offense and has the potential to develop into a competitive offensive lineman in the CFL.
Moses Johnson is a 6’5″, 300 pounds offensive tackle from Sugarland, Texas. Johnson played college at Sam Houston State and in 28 games on the offensive line. During his four-year career with Sam Houston, Johnson started as a defensive lineman, and in 2019, he added to the offensive line. In addition, the offensive lineman was consistently productive on the Sam Houston special teams units.
Johnson will be a developmental project for the Tiger-Cats due to his prototypical professional football size but his lack of experience at the professional level of football. However, his history shows that he is willing to persevere and be flexible to find a role that allows him to get on the field. Hamilton has invested significant resources this off-season, and Johnson will join a group of veteran offensive linemen. Being surrounded by veterans and proven CFL linemen should allow him to grow into a role on the Tiger-Cats offensive line.
