The Montreal Alouettes announced on Monday that they have extended Canadian offensive lineman Cyrille Hogan-Saindon to a 2-year contract extension, keeping him in the nest through the 2027 season. He was previously set to become a free agent in February, had a deal not been reached.

Hogan-Saindon joined the Alouettes in February and played in 9 regular-season games as well as the 3 playoff games. He started in 4 games at center in place of Justin Lawrence, who missed some time due to injury mid-season.
He had very high marks from Pro Football Focus in his last start, which came in week 14 and saw him receive an 81.3 grade from PFF, one of the highest grades to a center over the CFL season. His start before that was also graded highly at 71.5.
“Cyrille is a solid veteran who has adapted well to our team since his arrival,” stated Alouettes’ General Manager Danny Maciocia. “When we call on him, he gets the job done. His attitude is exemplary.”
Hogan-Saindon entered the CFL as a 2nd round draft pick (11th overall) by the Ottawa RedBlacks in 2022. He played in all 18 games in his first 2 seasons, with 3 starts in 2022 and 18 starts in 2023. He played in 9 games for Ottawa with 8 starts in 2024.
He played for Laval collegiately, where he won a Vanier Cup in 2018 and was named an RSEQ All-Star in 2021.
Montreal’s current starting center, Justin Lawrence, is under contract through the 2026 season. The Alouettes will have some flexibility in their decision-making process at the center position next offseason.
