Montreal Alouettes: Davis Alexander completed 25 of 34 passes for 297 yards and 1 touchdown with no interceptions in last week’s win over BC. Liam Talbot led the rush with 5 carries for 19 yards and a touchdown. Travis Theis had 3 carries for 12 yards before being sidelined by an injury to his right leg that led to him being placed on the 6-game injured list earlier this week. Tyson Philpot once again led the team in receiving with 8 catches for 98 yards, while Tyler Snead had 7 catches for 69 yards and a touchdown. LB Tyrice Beverette tied for a team-leading 6 tackles with an added interception, while DT Mustafa Johnson also had 6 tackles.

BC Lions: Nathan Rourke completed 31 of 45 passes for 375 yards and 2 touchdowns, with 1 interception in last week's loss. Zander Horvath was held to 46 yards on 17 carries. Justin McInnis led receiving with 6 catches for 100 yards and a touchdown, Jermaine Jackson had 7 catches for 98 yards and a touchdown, and Jevon Cottoy added 7 catches for 72 yards. Darnell Sankey led the defence with 9 tackles as he faced his old team.

Alouettes Keys to the Game

More of the Same From Davis Alexander

Alexander was sharp again last week and currently has a highly impressive touchdown-to-interception ratio of 25 to 2 and a 72.4% completion rate.

Establish the Run Game

Montreal’s ground attack was limited last week, which saw Theis injured early on. With Theis injured, the Alouettes have reactivated Stevie Scott III from the injured list who was fantastic last year in the Alouettes postseason run.

Contain Nathan Rourke and the Receivers

Rourke threw for 375 yards and two scores last week. Montreal’s secondary must limit big plays from Justin McInnis, Jermaine Jackson, and Keon Hatcher after they combined for big production in the first meeting.

Win the Trench Battle and Stop the Run

Zander Horvath was held in check last week, and the Alouettes need to do the same this week. Mustafa Johnson and the defensive line need another strong showing against the run while generating pressure on Rourke.

Alouettes to Watch

10 QB Davis Alexander

Alexander is second in the league in passing with 3,954 yards, 25 touchdowns, and only 2 interceptions over 12 games. He added 297 yards and a TD last week.

85 WR Tyler Snead

Snead is second in the league with 1,158 yards on 71 catches and 10 touchdowns. He had 7 catches for 69 yards and a TD last week.

26 LB Tyrice Beverette

Beverette recorded 6 tackles and an interception last week. He has 40 tackles, 2 sacks, a forced fumble, 2 interceptions, and 4 special teams tackles on the season.

94 DT Mustafa Johnson

Johnson had 6 tackles last week. He has 18 tackles, including 2 sacks over 8 games.

Lions to Watch

12 QB Nathan Rourke

Montreal has to stop Zander Horvath ! Should be a great game. It feels like a rivalry is developing with the energy of these two teams.
