2024 Grey Cup: Time, TV Channel, How to Watch Toronto Argonauts vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers Championship Game

The Toronto Argonauts and Winnipeg Blue Bombers are set to face off in the 111th Grey Cup, the Canadian Football League (CFL) championship game, on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 PM ET.

Path to the Championship

Toronto advanced to the Grey Cup after defeating the Montreal Alouettes 30-28 in the Eastern Final, while Winnipeg secured their spot by beating the Saskatchewan Roughriders 38-22 in the Western Final. This matchup is a rematch of the 2022 Grey Cup, where Toronto emerged victorious with a narrow 24-23 win.

Historic Rivalry

These teams bring impressive championship pedigrees to the contest. The Argonauts boast the most Grey Cup victories in league history with 18 wins (18-6 overall record) in their 25 appearances. The Blue Bombers lead all CFL teams with 31 championship game appearances, holding a 12-18 record in the Grey Cup. This will be their fifth consecutive Grey Cup appearance, though they’re currently on a two-game losing streak after winning in both 2019 and 2021.

2024 Season Matchups

Toronto has had Winnipeg’s number this year, winning both regular-season meetings – a 16-14 overtime victory at home on July 27 and a 14-11 road win on October 11.

Viewing Information

For U.S. viewers, the game will be televised on CBS Sports Network (CBSSN). This marks a significant development as the CFL secured a new American broadcast partnership after ESPN did not renew its previous deal. Alternative viewing options include:

  • CFL+: The league’s free international streaming platform
  • Fubo: Offering streaming access with a free trial for new users

Canadian viewers can watch on TSN (English) or RDS (French).

Entertainment

The Jonas Brothers are scheduled to perform during the halftime show at BC Place.

This marks the eighth Grey Cup meeting between these storied franchises, with their most recent championship clash being Toronto’s victory in 2022 at Regina’s Mosaic Stadium.
