The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have announced that the club has signed former NFL player Marlon Character.
Character is a six-foot-one 195 pound defensive back out of the University of Louisville, but he didnt always dress for the red and white. Marlon is a former three-star recruit at safety with offers from over 20 schools. Character originally signed with Auburn, but transferred to Louisville after his redshirt freshman year.
Arriving at Louisville, Character worked his way up from a depth and special teams role, but ended up playing at corner back. During his amateur career with the cardinals he papered in 64 where made 83 total tackles, eight deflected passes, one interception and one forced fumble.
After the completion of his amateur career in 2020, Marlon declared for the NFL Draft. He would go on to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs as a undrafted free agent, before going the blue bombers.
