WINNIPEG, MB., – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have announced that the team has signed American offensive weapon Lucky Jackson.
Lucky Jackson is a six-foot-one 190lbs American Wide Receiver out of Western Kentucky University where he became one of the best wideouts in school history. During his historic senior year, he recorded 94 receptions for 1,133 yards and four touchdowns was named First Responder Bowl MVP after a 17-catch performance.
His amateur career with the Hilltoppers was just as unforgettable as his senior year. Jackson appeared in 51 games as a wide receiver totaling 2,680 yards on 209 receptions scoring 13 touchdowns. Jackson also had seven rushing attempts during his career racking up 65 rushing yards and scoring one touchdown.
His first-class performance led him to be lauded 10 awards while dressed in red and white.

After the completion of his career with the Hilltoppers, Jackson set his sights on the 2020 NFL Draft. Jackson wouldn’t hear his name called, even though some mock drafts had him getting selected in the late rounds.
“I was expecting to get drafted, but knowing we didn’t have a pro day and scouts weren’t able to evaluate me in person, I knew that was a possibility,” said Jackson.
“Being undrafted set a fire under me and it made me focus up even more because I know there is still so much more for me to prove.”
Lucky impressed a lot of scouts with skills that can the Blue Bombers can use. He ran unofficial 4.3 forty-yard dash during his pro day and his draft analysis highlighted his great hands, high football IQ, Ability to create separation, and it also highlights that he can be used as a Gadget guy.
