The Canadian Football League (CFL) has announced its elite crew of officials for the upcoming 110th Grey Cup game at Tim Hortons Field. This select group, comprised of the season’s 11 highest-rated officials, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to one of the league’s most anticipated events.
Heading the team is Referee Tim Kroeker (#74), marking his 17th season with 271 games under his belt. This will be his 6th Grey Cup game, but his first as the Referee. Joining him is Umpire Troy Semenchuk (#24), in his 7th season, with 117 games and his 2nd Grey Cup appearance.
The crew is rounded out by seasoned officials, including Down Judge Andrew Wakefield (#27), Line Judge Rob Hill (#63), Side Judge Pierre Laporte (#18), Back Judge Larry Butler (#59), and Field Judge Jason Maggio (#37), each bringing their unique experience to the game. Maggio, with 21 seasons and 354 games, will be participating in his 7th Grey Cup game.
Providing backup support are Tom Vallesi (#60), Chris Shapka (#19), Kevin Riopel (#40), and Brian Chrupalo (#73), all of whom have notable CFL officiating experience and Grey Cup game participation.
