Following this Week 7 action, the CFL standings show Calgary (5-1) leading the West Division, followed by Saskatchewan (4-1), Winnipeg (3-2), and BC (3-3). In the East Division, Montreal (4-2) holds the top spot ahead of Hamilton (3-2), while Toronto and Ottawa both sit at 1-5. Calgary’s dominant win puts them in the driver’s seat for home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
The Stampeders’ defensive dominance continued their trend of holding opponents to under 25 points in every game this season, while their balanced offensive attack showed the depth that makes them legitimate Grey Cup contenders. For Winnipeg, the loss of Collaros to injury adds concern to what was already a disappointing home performance against their division rivals.
How will Calgary’s defense continue to perform against Montreal’s high-powered offense next week? Can Winnipeg bounce back from this setback when they face Toronto on the road? What are your thoughts on this game? Share your comments below.
