CFL Week 5 Fantasy Sleepers, Picks: DraftKings, GameZone, 110Yards

Great deals on players flying under the radar who are of higher value than what their pricing or availability would indicate.

Weekly Fantasy:

Game Zone is CFL’s new fantasy game on their website which is similar to Draft Kings and is a weekly fantasy game where you choose your team each week and have to stay within a certain salary cap. GameZone is a budget of $70K and Draft Kings is $50K.

Head-to-Head Fantasy:

110Yards is a more traditional fantasy football service where managers draft their teams and keep their players all season. 110yards.ca can also accommodate a league starting midway through the season. 110yards waivers this week will begin processing Wednesday around 7AM ET (4 AM PT) so make sure to get your claims submitted.

A note on sports betting:

Draft Kings is a place where people will play for money. I want to encourage everyone to play responsibly if you do play at Draft Kings and not bet more than you’re willing to lose. I am personally of the belief that such activities are best enjoyed around dollar amounts you would spend at a fast food outing.

Taylor Cornelius, Edmonton Elks, QB

Draft Kings Price: $9.4K (Deal)

Game Zone Price: $14.4K (Average Price)

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 36%

General Cornelius is taking first-team reps again. He has not had big numbers this year, but last year he was the highest-scoring quarterback from a fantasy points-per-game perspective. He had a slow first game and then another slow game against BC who has one of the best defenses in the league. He was very efficient in week 4 prior to being pulled by Edmonton’s coaching staff.

Jeremiah Masoli, Montreal Alouettes, QB

Draft Kings Price: $9K (Deal)

Game Zone Price: $13K (Deal)

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 21%

Jeremiah Masoli did good things before his season was indeed by injury last year. He is making his season debut this week. He threw 711 passing yards in his first 2 games last year which were both against a powerful Blue Bombers defense.

Vernon Adams Jr., BC Lions, QB

Draft Kings Price: $11.1K (Above Average)

Game Zone Price: $12.5K (Deal)

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 83%

From an average fantasy points per game perspective, Adams has the highest production. For some reason, he is listed at a low price for a quarterback on Game Zone.

William Stanback, Montreal Alouettes, RB

Draft Kings Price: $8.3K

Game Zone Price: $14.5K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 79%

He has been slowly heating up this season. If Montreal commits to establishing the run this week against BC he could have a big game. However last week BC did not commit to the run when they were trailing to Winnipeg so it seems his production could depend on if his team is leading or not.

De’Montre Tuggle, Ottawa RedBlacks, RB

Draft Kings Price: $7.2K

Game Zone Price: $6.2K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 28%

Tuggle exploded last week as Ottawa committed to the run in their win against Edmonton. He had 17 carries for 126 yards (7.4 average) and a touchdown. Tuggle was playing in relief of Devonte Williams who missed the last 2 games due to injury. If Tuggle is listed as the starter this week he could be a terrific add, depending on where he is listed on

Dedrick Mills, Calgary Stampeders, RB

Draft Kings Price: $9.3K

Game Zone Price: $6.2K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 53%

Mills has one of the highest fantasy point production levels of anyone per game. As long as Ka’Deem Carey is out due to injury Mills is a high-value fantasy player. He’s a very talented running back on a team that values the running game very highly.

Maurice Ffrench, Edmonton Elks, WR

Draft Kings Price: $2.5K

Game Zone Price: $4.7K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 2%

Ffrench is my steal of the week. He played his first CFL game last week and had 6 catches for 74 yards and a touchdown. There was another play in which he was overthrown which if the ball was placed more accurately would have been another touchdown for Ffrench. He is a great receiver at getting open and is going to be a breath of fresh air for Edmonton who has recently placed Eugene Lewis on their 6-game injured list. He had the most yards and receptions of anyone in the preseason.

Reggie Begelton, Calgary Stampeders, WR

Draft Kings Price: $8K

Game Zone Price: $14.2K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 83%

Begelton has the 7th highest fantasy points per game production and that could potentially become even higher as Malik Henry is done for the season. Begelton will now be heavily relied upon by the Calgary offense.

Samuel Emilus, Saskatchewan Roughriders, WR

Draft Kings Price: $4.3K

Game Zone Price: $8.5K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 81%

The 6th highest points per game are priced very low still in Draft Kings and Game Zone. He did have 3 touchdowns in 1 game so his fantasy numbers are somewhat inflated as a result of that but 13 catches for 186 yards in 3 games is a really good amount at his price.

Cole Tucker, Calgary Stampeders, WR

Draft Kings Price: $4.8K

Game Zone Price: $5K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 17%

He has played only in 1 game so far this season but saw a healthy amount of targets in a game that saw him catch 5 of his 7 targets for 60 yards. With the injury to Malik Henry Calgary will be needing receivers to fill bigger roles.

Austin Mack, Montreal Alouettes, WR

Draft Kings Price: $6.3K

Game Zone Price: $8.4K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 83%

He has been one of the most productive receivers in fantasy football. The rookie out of Ohio State still has low pricing available on draft kings. Not many players are getting more targets in a game than him. Mack has the most yards per game in the league at 105.3.

Tevin Jones, Saskatchewan Roughriders, WR

Draft Kings Price: $6.1K

Game Zone Price: $11.4K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 55%

He has had an amazing level of production in the 2 games he has played in with 98 yards and 7 catches per game. He also has 1 touchdown on the season.
