Nathan Rourke and the Lions try to steal one in Calgary, where the Stamps have scored 30+ points eight straight games.

BC has won two straight and looks like a different team with Rourke back under center, but Calgary's the one team in this league capable of putting up 40 on any given Thursday. These two already met in Week 4, and Calgary walked out of BC Place with a 41-33 shootout win. Now the Lions get a crack at revenge on the road, where Calgary has cooled off just a bit — a loss to Toronto last week snapped a run of dominance.
Dave Dickenson is one win away from 100 career victories, and he'll be leaning on an offense that's averaging a league-best 352 points scored this year. But BC's run defense is the best in the CFL at stopping the ground game (3.8 yards per carry allowed), which sets up an interesting clash against a Calgary rushing attack that ranks second in yards per carry. Something's got to give.
Players to Watch:
- Vernon Adams Jr (Calgary Stampeders, QB) — Leads the CFL with 21 passing TDs against just two picks, and he's been must-watch TV all season.
- Nathan Rourke (BC Lions, QB) — Career 4-1 against Calgary, and he torched this same Stamps defense for 462 yards and three TDs back in Week 4 despite the loss.
- Mathieu Betts (BC Lions, DL) — BC's top pass rusher will need to get after Adams Jr early to slow down that Calgary attack.
Injury Watch:
- Jacob Bond (BC Lions, FB) — Out (knee)
- Maxime Rouyer (BC Lions, LB) — Out (foot)
- Brandon Yates (BC Lions, OL) — Out (foot)
- Reggie Begelton (Calgary Stampeders, WR) — Out (knee)
- Bryce Bell (Calgary Stampeders, OL) — Questionable (shoulder)
Pick: Calgary 37-30. The Stamps are 8-1 to the over this season and this has shootout written all over it — BC's improved but Calgary's offense at home is still too much to handle.

Quick Hits
- BC activated Stanley Berryhill off the reserve roster while shipping Brandon Yates to reserve — a sign the Lions are shuffling pieces up front and at receiver as they push for a playoff spot.
- Calgary swapped Terrence Ganyi to the practice roster and pulled Ajou Ajou onto the active roster, giving Vernon Adams Jr another receiving option this week.
- Fantasy angle: with Reggie Begelton out for Calgary, expect Adams Jr to lean even more on his other targets in the passing game.
- Calgary has scored 30-plus points in eight straight games, but BC's rush defense — the stingiest in the league at 3.8 yards per carry — is the one unit built to slow that streak down.
