Hello CFL Fans! Here are your CFL News Hub Power Rankings after Week 14.

1 – Montreal Alouettes

Record: 10-2

Previous ranking: 1

Montreal became the first team to punch a ticket for the 2026 playoffs.

The Alouettes faced a tough test against a hungry BC football team that has been hitting its stride over the last 6 weeks.

After a slow start at the gate in the 1st half, Montreal found a rhythm. Montreal turned the tide in the 3rd quarter, piling up 20 points. The consistency carried over in the 4th quarter, sealing a 37-30 win over a resilient BC team.

Next game: Saturday, September 12th, 2026, in BC.

2 – Edmonton Elks

Record: 9-3

Previous ranking: 2

What might have been an Edmonton loss turned into an impressive comeback.

Calgary outplayed Edmonton in all phases of the game. Edmonton fell flat.

Somehow, someway, the Elks surged in the 4th quarter, erasing an 18-point deficit.

After playing subpar football, Edmonton went full throttle, scoring 24 points in the 4th quarter, sealing a 38-28 win.

Next game: Saturday, September 12th, 2026, vs. Calgary.

3 – Saskatchewan Roughriders

Record: 8-4

Previous ranking: 4

When Labour Day arrives, the game between Saskatchewan and Winnipeg is truly something special.

Like many games in the past, high-octane drama is a necessity in scripting a football game.

It was a struggle for Saskatchewan to get the offence moving. Winnipeg did a good job keeping the pressure on Trevor Harris.

Dhel Duncan-Busby had an incredible night, with 10 receptions for 148 receiving yards.

With a seesaw battle brewing in Regina, the game went to overtime with a Winnipeg final possession and 00:00 left on the clock to tie the game at 26-26.

Saskatchewan would counter with a touchdown in overtime to seal the deal after halting Winnipeg’s last possession.

Next game: Saturday, September 12th, 2026, in Winnipeg.

4 – BC Lions

Record: 6-6

Previous ranking: 3

It had all the makings of an offensive shootout between Nathan Rourke and Davis Alexander. This game did not disappoint.

BC’s goal was to continue their surge in the win column after a 1-4 start to the 2026 season.

BC got into deep trouble in the 3rd quarter, giving up 20 points. One of those touchdowns was from a Tyrece Beverette 57-yard interception return to the house with 2:07 left in the 3rd quarter.

BC fell into a big hole.

By the 4th quarter, both teams traded a couple of field goals and touchdowns. It was too little, too late for BC against Montreal.

Next game: Saturday, September 12th, 2026, vs Montreal.

6 – Toronto Argonauts

Record: 6-6

Previous ranking: 7

The Argos were attempting to win a Labour Day game in enemy territory in Hamilton.

The Argos got off to a good start with a 20-6 lead by halftime. More importantly, Chad Kelly was accurate in the passing game and limited his interceptions.

Kelly would end the game with 23 for 35 in pass completions, 319 passing yards, 3 touchdown passes, along with a lone interception.

Moving forward, the Argos need to establish a balanced offence as the running game is non-existent at times.

Next game: Saturday, September 12th, 2026, vs. Ottawa.

5 – Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Record: 6-6

Previous ranking: 5

The Bombers were attempting to silence the crowd in a hostile environment in Regina. It was a black and blue game. It is typical when football is played on the Canadian Prairies.

Winnipeg took the game in stride. They did a good job halting drives by Saskatchewan.

On the flip side, the same went against Winnipeg. Winnipeg was challenged by the Saskatchewan defence in extending plays into touchdowns.

As the slugfest continued, Saskatchewan got the better end in overtime in a game that had a lot of implications on the line.

Next game: Saturday, September 12th, 2026, vs. Saskatchewan.

7 – Calgary Stampeders

Record: 5-7

Previous ranking: 6

It was a game that Calgary simply let slip away. With a 25-14 lead entering the 4th quarter, Calgary had problems.

Calgary developed issues turning drives into first downs in the latter part of the game. In return, Edmonton took full advantage of the scenario and made the most of their opportunities.

Edmonton was a perfect 4-for-4 in red zone scoring, along with 24 first downs to Calgary’s 13.

As the schedule continues and fewer games are on the table, Calgary needs to turn their blown opportunities into wins sooner rather than later.

Next game: Saturday, September 12th, 2026, in Edmonton.

8 – Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Record: 4-9

Previous ranking: 8

Time is not on Hamilton’s side. It’s no secret that when your QB1 has been down for the majority of the season, the offence changes.

To make matters worse, Tre Ford went down after scoring a touchdown at 10:02 in the 2nd quarter. As he spun his body in the end zone, he landed on his back. He hit the back of his head on the field and did not return.

Harrison Frost would come in relief of Tre Ford. He did a good job.

Kurleigh Gittens Jr. had a big game with 94 yards and 2 touchdowns for the offence.

Hamilton had a tough time running the ball against Toronto, along with a bad 2nd half overall.

Next game: Hamilton is on a bye in Week 15. Their next scheduled game will be on Friday, September 18th, 2026 vs. Montreal.

9 - Ottawa Redblacks

Record: 0-11

Previous ranking: 9

Ottawa was on a bye in Week 14. Ottawa are hoping to avoid another loss when they are in Toronto on Saturday, September 12th, 2026

Next game: Saturday, September 12th, 2026, in Toronto
