The Montreal Alouettes have released their 1st injury report for this week’s home opener vs the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
So did Hamilton, and it features last week’s starting QB Jeremiah Masoli. Masoli was limited on Tuesday with a rib injury, and the Ti-Cats have chosen to start Dane Evans. It’s unclear if the choice was because of Masoli’s status, or the slow start to the season, but within the local media, the word is, it’s the ribs.
The following players were on the Alouette’s injury report for Wednesday, 8/25:
Dante Absher, (WR), healthy scratch, full participation
Cameron Artis-Payne, (RB), healthy scratch, full participationÂ
BJ Cunningham, (WR), rib, limited participation
Cameron Lawson, (DL), healthy scratch, full participationÂ
Patrick Levels, (DB), finger, hip, full participationÂ
Najee Murray, (DB), knee, did not participate
Chris Schleuger, (OL), healthy scratch, full participationÂ
Antonio Simmons, (DL), hip, full participation
Wesley Sutton, (DB), finger, limited participation Tony Washington (OL), knee, did not participate
Montreal hopes to regain momentum at home this week after losing a close one to the Calgary Stampeders, who were also without their regular starting QB in Week 3. The Alouettes’ offense struggled to get going through the air, and hope to remedy that vs the Ti-Cats.
Vernon Adams was 20/42 for 261 yards, 2 TDs, and an INT. But the protection failed too often for any consistency or rhythm to get established.
