The BC Lions announced 2 players added to the roster on Monday with the signing of CFL veteran offensive lineman Joshua Coker, as well as quarterback Kaidon Salter.
OT Joshua Coker - Rhodes (6’2,336 lbs)
Coker has played for the Calgary Stampeders since joining the CFL in 2021 and appearing in 43 regular-season games. He spent the 2021 season on the practice roster before dressing in 2 games in the 2022 season. 2023 saw him start in 11 games at right tackle. He had 29 starts over the last 2 seasons at both right and left tackle. He had the 8th highest overall grade from Pro Football Focus among tackles in 2025 and the 6th highest in 2024.
Coker played his college ball at the D3 level with Rhodes College, where he played in 25 games from 2015 to 2018. He was recognized as a First-Team All-Southern Athletic Association and First-Team All-American Football Coaches Association in his senior year. He attended training camp with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2019 but did not see action in the preseason.
QB Kaidon Salter - Colorado (6’1, 195 lbs)
Kaidon Salter wrapped up his collegiate career with Colorado after transferring ahead of the 2025 season. He played in 8 games, completing 113 of his 179 passes (63%) for 1,242 yards and 10 touchdowns with 6 interceptions. He also added 293 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns on 88 rushes.
He played for Liberty prior to Colorado, where he appeared in 35 games with 29 starts from 2021 to 2024. He completed 412 of his 702 passes (59%) for 5,887 yards and 56 touchdowns with 17 interceptions while adding 2,063 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns on 351 rushes with the program.
Prior to a road bump in 2025, Salter was projected to be drafted or a priority UDFA signing. He will be a player to keep an eye on this preseason.
