BC Lions Sign Former Syracuse Quarterback Garrett Shrader

The BC Lions announced on Tuesday the signing of quarterback Garrett Shrader. Shrader appeared in 35 games for Syracuse from 2021 to 2023 where he became the starter 4 games into the 2021 season.

Shrader played in 35 games for the Syracuse Orange where he completed 60% of his passes for 5,771 yards and 39 touchdowns with 17 interceptions. He added 1,703 rushing yards over 436 rushes (3.9 average) and 31 rushing touchdowns.

Shrader began his collegiate career with Mississippi State where he had 4 starts in 2019. He completed 57.5% of his passes for 1,170 yards and 8 touchdowns with 5 interceptions that season and had 587 rushing yards and 6 rushing touchdowns.

Shrader went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft and will debut in professional football in 2025 with the BC Lions.
