BC Lions Trade For All-CFL OT Dejon Allen for LB Ryder Varga and Draft Pick, Release DL Pete Robertson

The BC Lions announced 2 transactions on Monday as they made a big trade with the Toronto Argonauts bringing in offensive tackle Dejon Allen. In exchange, the Argonauts will be receiving Canadian linebacker Ryder Varga and a 2nd round pick in the 2026 CFL Draft. The Lions announced on Monday that they have also released American defensive lineman Pete Robertson.

β€œIn order for our team to take the next step, improving the offensive line was something that was a priority for us,” stated BC Lions’ General Manager Ryan Rigmaiden. β€œAdding a talent like Dejon immediately improves our run and pass game while also adding grit and toughness to our identity.Β  He’s a special player at a premier position and we’re proud to have him.”

Dejon Allen was named to the CFL All-Star team in each of the last 2 seasons and was an East Division All-Star in each of the last 3 seasons. Allen played in 63 regular season games for the Argos playing at both left and right tackle over the last 4 seasons.

β€œWe appr
