The BC Lions are heading into the 2026 season with a fresh look on the road. The team unveiled their new away uniform — dubbed the Pacific Frost — on Thursday, with the debut set for the regular season opener on June 13 at Saskatchewan.

What It Looks Like

White jersey. Metallic silver helmet. Silver pants. Orange accents on the numbers. Clean, cold, and sharp.

It's a return to the crisp white road look that Lions fans remember from some of the franchise's best eras. The metallic silver elements run throughout — helmet to pants — giving the uniform a cohesive, striking identity that's going to stand out on the road.

The team says the design draws its inspiration straight from British Columbia itself. The white base is meant to evoke the snow and glaciers of BC's mountain ranges. The metallic silver mirrors winter skies and coastal terrain. And that pop of Lions orange? That's there to make sure nobody mistakes who just walked into their stadium.

Roots of the Design

The Lions aren't just selling a uniform here — they're leaning into the history behind it. The team is named after the iconic Lions peaks that overlook Vancouver, and this kit is meant to feel like a direct tribute to the landscape that defines the Lower Mainland.

"Designed to feel crisp, cold, and unmistakably West Coast," the team wrote in their release. That's a pretty good three-word brief for a road uniform meant to travel into hostile environments.

A Nod to the Legends

The silver helmets and pants aren't just an aesthetic choice — they carry weight. The Lions won two of their most memorable Grey Cups in this colour combination, and some of the greatest players in franchise history wore silver on the road.

Lui Passaglia. Geroy Simon. Brent Johnson. The Flutie brothers. Those names ran in silver, and this uniform is a direct callback to that legacy. It's a smart way to connect a new era to the franchise's Hall of Fame bloodline.

Debut Date: June 13 at Saskatchewan

The Pacific Frost hits the field for the first time in Regina when BC opens the regular season against the Saskatchewan Roughriders on June 13. That's a tough road environment to make a first impression — but if the uniform is built to "stand out in hostile environments," Mosaic Stadium is a fine place to prove it.

Fans can purchase the new Pacific Frost jersey directly through the team. If Nathan Rourke and the Lions are running in these on opening night, expect the merch table to move fast.
