Calgary Stampeders Welcome Josh Thomas

The Calgary Stampeders have enriched their defensive lineup by adding American defensive back Josh Thomas. The team announced his inclusion in the training camp roster.

Collegiate Excellence and Professional Journey

At six feet, 205 pounds, Thomas showcased his skills in 56 collegiate games at Appalachian State. His career highlights include 163 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, seven interceptions, along with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. In 2019, as a senior, he was recognized as a first-team All-Sun Belt honoree by Pro Football Focus.

NFL and College Experience

Having played four NFL games divided between the Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals, Thomas recorded five tackles. Before joining the Stampeders, he entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Buffalo in 2020.
