The Calgary Stampeders continue to bolster their roster depth, announcing the recent signing of American receiver Jose Barbon to their practice squad.
Jose Barbon – Receiver
Hailing from Havana, Cuba, Jose Barbon had a commendable stint at Temple. With an impressive 138 catches, he cemented his name as the fourth-leading receiver in Owls history, racking up a total of 1,608 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Barbon’s senior year in 2022 saw him achieve 72 catches for a total of 918 yards and two touchdowns. Following his college career, he entered the NFL realm but went undrafted in 2023. However, his talent didn’t go unnoticed as he was quickly signed by the Dallas Cowboys. Unfortunately, his tenure with the Cowboys was short-lived, as he was waived post-training camp.
