The Winnipeg Blue Bombers used a strong fourth quarter to defeat the Edmonton Elks 27-14 on the road. After a low-scoring first half, Winnipeg outscored Edmonton 24-14 in the second half to pull away for the victory. The win improves Winnipeg’s record to 8-6 on the season, while Edmonton drops to 5-9.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers‘ victory keeps them in first place in the West Division with an 8-6 record. They trail only the Montreal Alouettes (11-2) and Ottawa REDBLACKS in the overall CFL standings. The Edmonton Elks fall to 5-9 and remain in fourth place in the West, ahead of only the Calgary Stampeders (4-9).

This win gives Winnipeg some breathing room in the playoff race as they look to secure a postseason berth. For Edmonton, the loss makes their path to the playoffs more difficult with only a few games remaining in the regular season.

    Bombers are first in the West, third in the CFL behind Mtl and Ott.
