The Montreal Alouettes have removed quarterback Cody Fajardo from the 6-game injured list and he was a limited participant in practice on Tuesday. Fajardo suffered a hamstring injury late in the first quarter during the week 6 loss to Toronto. Montreal was fortunate to be on the bye in week 7 following the injury to Fajardo.
So far this season Fajardo has completed 141 of his 182 passes (77.5%) for 1,636 yards and 10 touchdowns with 4 interceptions. He is the current leader in completion percentage in the league. Heading into week 6 he was 5-0 as a starter on the season.
Fajardo was placed on the 6-game injured list on July 24 ahead of the week 8 matchup against Saskatchewan which was won thanks in large part thanks to heroics from third-string quarterback Davis Alexander.
While Fajardo’s status is not yet known for this week, it is a very positive sign to see him taken off the 6-game injured list after only 6 days.
