Redblacks vs Roughriders Battle of 5 Win Teams by Sam Just

The Saskatchewan Roughriders look to bounce back from their loss last week in which the Edmonton Elks won their first game of the season. Shea Patterson threw for over 300 yards last week for the first time in his CFL career. Ottawa is well rested coming off of the bye week and are 4-0 at home.

Writer’s Pick: 75% Ottawa

Calgary Stampeders (4-4) @ Toronto Argonauts (4-4)

Friday, August 9, 7:30 PM Eastern (5:30 PM Mountain), Toronto, ON, TSN (Canada), CFL+ (USA), CFL+ (Global)

Toronto will not have to wait long to seek vengeance after collapsing in the 4th quarter and allowing 21 unanswered points on the road to lose to Calgary 23-27 last week. Both teams currently are in the third and final playoff spot for their respective divisions.

Writer’s Pick: 63% Toronto

Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2-6) @ Montreal Alouettes (7-1)

Montreal Alouettes (7-1) Week 10 Preview vs Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2-6): Prediction, Depth Chart, Injuries, Odds

Hamilton will get another chance to try and find a way to have success against Montreal’s defense. Last week Montreal defeated Hamilton on the road 33-16 with Davis Alexander at quarterback in place of injured Cody Fajardo. Montreal held Hamilton’s Bo Levi Mitchell to 1 passing touchdown while generating 2 interceptions.

Writer’s Pick: 88% Montreal

BC Lions (5-3) @ Edmonton Elks (1-7)

Sunday, August 11, 7:00 PM Eastern (5:00 PM Mountain), Edmonton, AB, TSN (Canada), CBS Sports (USA), CFL+ (Global)

EIks: Green & Gold Game Day Preview – Looking To Seize Another Win by Michael Willoughby

Tre Ford was effective for the Elks in his first start of the season last week which saw Edmonton win their first game of the season. Ford had 252 passing yards and 2 touchdowns with 1 interception and added 46 rushing yards. The BC Lions are coming off a sour loss in which they lost 0-25 on the road in Winnipeg and also will be temporarily without starting quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. who left the game due to injury. Jake Dolegala is the expected starter for BC although Chase Brice is an option as well.

Writer’s Pick: 75% Edmonton
