Saskatchewan Roughriders Add Receiver KeeSean Johnson

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American receiver and former NFL draft pick KeeSean Johnson.

The 27-year-old was selected in the sixth round (174th overall) by the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. This is the second sixth-round NFL draft pick at the wide receiver position the Green and White have signed this week, after adding former Chicago Bear Dazz Newsome on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-1, 201-pound target played two seasons in Arizona snagging 36 catches, 360 yards, and a touchdown across 18 games. Johnson has also spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons and Buffalo Bills.

Collegiately, the California native spent five seasons at Fresno State playing in 51 games. He caught 275 footballs for 3,463 yards and 24 touchdowns. Johnson became Fresno State’s all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards. Also, during his junior and senior year’s with the Bulldogs he was named to the All-Mountain West second-team.

Johnson joins Geronimo Allison, Jake Parker, Dazz Newsome, Dohnte Meyers, and O’Joshua Bunton as American receivers trying to crack Saskatchewan’s roster.
