With injuries to edge rushers JaGared Davis and Shane Ray. The Toronto Argonauts have signed NFL veteran defensive end Damontre Moore.
Moore is the third American edge rusher, Toronto has signed in the last month. The Argos have recently inked Brandon Barlow and Ali Fayad to help fortify depth on the edge.
JaGared Davis is currently on Toronto’s six-game injured list. Ray leads the team with six sacks but suffered a knee injury against Ottawa. The timetable for his return is still uncertain. Last week, Toronto head coach Ryan Dinwiddie informed the media that he believes that Ray dodged a bullet because there is no structural damage to his right knee.
The 7-5 East-leading Boatmen are currently on a bye week. They will return to action next Saturday in Ottawa against the Redblacks.
