WR Shedler Fervius Signs with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats

As the Hamilton Tiger-Cats prepare to face the Toronto Argonauts in the 2025 Labour Day Classic, Hamilton finds themselves in need of wide receiver depth. On the CFL Injury Report for this week, Hamilton will be without wide receiver Isaiah Wooden Sr. due to a shoulder injury. In an effort to maintain the integrity of their wide receiver position, the Tiger-Cats have signed National wide receiver Shedler Fervius, according to the CFL Transactions list.

Fervius comes to the Hamilton roster after spending time with the Montreal Alouettes from 2023 until 2025. While playing for the Alouettes, Fervius appeared in 18 games, catching 7 passes for 87 yards. The Ontario native will have the opportunity to demonstrate his ability and show that he can provide value to the Tiger-Cats roster for the remainder of the 2025 season.

The 6'1", 190-pound Fervius hails from Scarborough, Ontario. During his college football experience before joining the CFL, Fervius played U Sports football for the Saint Mary's Huskies from 2018 to 2022. While playing for the Huskies, Fervius appeared in 18 games, catching 59 passes for 702 yards and scoring one touchdown. In addition, Fervius ran the ball 14 times for the Huskies and gained 176 yards on the ground.

Along with signing Fervius to their 2025 roster, the Tiger-Cats have also moved National defensive lineman Ty Anderson to the active roster from the practice squad for this week's game.
