The team is about to enter the hot phase! 

For the Hamburg Sea Devils, the view is close for the future. Another playoff candidate awaits with the Leipzig Kings, the Sea Devils’ last game of the regular season. 

Sea Devils vs the Kings starts at 3 p.m CET, August 29, in the Hoheluft Stadium.

Jaleel Awini was quarterback in the first leg, but a recently recovered Michael Birdsong managed to lead the Saxon team and has potential to surprise. Those responsible expect a different duel than in the 55-0 first win in Leipzig.  

“The Leipzig Kings are definitely one of the top teams in the league at the moment. They’re able to earn a winning streak and show a completely different face than in the first leg. We are nevertheless confident that we can beat this Leipzig team.We have the playoffs and home rights sure, but you shouldn’t take Leipzig lightly. You can lose to any team in the league.”

Before the game, there will be a special encounter: The Hamburg Sea Devils meet former football veterans of the Hamburg Silver Eagles to help appreciate previous developments in Hamburg football. The coin toss is also made up of representatives from the Eagles.
