Hamburg traveled to Poland to take on the Panthers Wroclaw, in hopes of building momentum heading into the playoffs, as they have already punched their postseason ticket. The Panthers are hoping to keep their chances alive.
1st Half
On the 2nd Hamburg drive, Clark and Co put tother a nice drive that ended with a RB Xavier Johnson 4-yard TD to give them the 10-3 lead.
Penalties and nice plays by Ziebe and Mazan helped Wroclaw get within scoring range, but they only came away with 3. 10-6
On the ensuing kickoff, DB/KR Justin Rogers shows why he is so dangerous, as he took the ball from the 5-yard line all the way back for the TD. Untouched. 17-6.
Wroclaw wouldn’t be outdone, newly signed WR Kavontae Turpin took a slant pass 58 yards for the score, making it 17-13.
But that wouldn’t be the only time the TCU Horned Frog, and TSL Linemen WR would do that, he was on the better end of another pass from QB Lukas O’Connor, and scored again, making it 20-17.
The 1st half wound end with the Panthers in the endzone again. The scoring play was set up by an 80-yard strike from O’Conner to WR Jakub Mazan for 80. Pasqualini ran it in to extend the lead, 27-17.
2nd Half
Wroclaw received the 2nd half kick, and came away with a FG, extending the lead 30-17.
Both teams were forced to punt on their next 2 drives, but late in the 3rd were able to get back some momentum. Big plays by TE John Levi Kruse, RB Julian Ampaw, set up a 16 yard TD catch by WR Jean-Claude Medin Cerezo, making the score 30-24.
Since that last score though, Teams traded punts, missed FGs, and INTs. Nothing else happened to change the outcome, and the Panthers Wroclaw hand the Hamburg Sea Devils their 2nd loss of the season,30-24.
Wroclaw improves to 4-4, and take on the Berlin Thunder. Hamburg falls to 7-2, and plays the Leipzig Kings next week.
