Ottawa scored on its first two drives and led wire-to-wire in a 27-12 preseason road win.

The Ottawa RedBlacks built a 14-0 first-half lead and held Montreal scoreless until the second quarter at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium. Jake Maier threw two touchdown passes to Keelan White, and the RedBlacks defense held the Alouettes to one touchdown across four quarters. The game was a Year 2026 CFL preseason matchup.

How It Happened

Ottawa took the opening kickoff and drove 72 yards on eight plays. Maier hit White on a 12-yard touchdown pass to make it 7-0.

The RedBlacks scored again on their next possession. Maier connected with White on a 4-yard touchdown pass early in the second quarter for a 14-0 lead.

Montreal answered with a Jose Carlos Maltos 21-yard field goal. Geelen pushed the Ottawa lead back to 14 with a 40-yard field goal. Montreal added a single point on a missed 52-yard Maltos field goal as the half ended. Ottawa led 17-4 at the break.

Neither team scored in the third quarter.

Geelen opened the fourth-quarter scoring with a 26-yard field goal. Montreal collected another single on a missed Michael Horvat field goal. Bryson Barnes ran in a 9-yard touchdown to give Ottawa a 27-5 lead. Shomari Lawrence scored Montreal's only touchdown on a 2-yard run in the final minute.
