CFL Preseason Scores: Toronto Argonauts 20, Hamilton Tiger-Cats 10 - Argonauts Score 13 Fourth-Quarter Points in Road Win

Toronto scored the game's final 13 points to overturn a fourth-quarter deficit and win 20-10 on the road.

The Toronto Argonauts trailed the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 10-7 in the fourth quarter at Hamilton Stadium before two touchdown runs in the final three minutes decided the game. Samuel Hicks ran for two touchdowns, and Toronto's defense held Hamilton to three points after the first quarter. The game was a Year 2026 CFL preseason matchup played in rain.

How It Happened

Hamilton scored on its second possession of the first quarter. The Tiger-Cats moved 83 yards on three plays, and Larry Rountree III finished the drive with a 46-yard touchdown run. Marc Liegghio added the convert for a 7-0 lead.

Neither team scored in the second quarter.

Toronto tied the game in the third quarter. Samuel Hicks ran 9 yards for a touchdown, and Lirim Hajrullahu's convert made it 7-7.

Hamilton retook the lead early in the fourth quarter on a Zachary Copeland 28-yard field goal. Toronto answered with a Weagbe Mombo 2-yard touchdown run; the convert attempt failed, leaving the score 13-10. Hicks scored his second touchdown on a 4-yard run, and Reed Martin's convert set the final margin at 20-10.
