Cody Fajardo and the Elks needed overtime to finish off a Hamilton team that refused to go quietly.
The Edmonton Elks outlasted the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 37-35 in overtime at Commonwealth Stadium, a game that had no business being that close given Edmonton's 452-317 edge in total offense. The win pushes Edmonton to 11-4 and keeps them glued to Montreal atop the West/overall standings, while Hamilton drops to 4-11 with little left to play for down the stretch.
