In Crum’s first CFL start, he completed 26 of his 42 passes for 261 yards with 1 interception. Over 200 of his passing yards came in the 2nd half in what was a remarkable comeback victory. What makes Crum such an intriguing fantasy player is his willingness to run. He had 74 rushing yards including a 12-yard rushing touchdown to force the game to overtime in the dying seconds of the 4th quarter. Crum also had a 29-yard walk-off touchdown run in overtime to win the game.

It’s been a slow start for Jake Maier this season. He is coming off his best game so far this season in which he completed 26 of his 37 passes for 315 yards and 2 touchdowns with 1 interception. It was his first game this season in which he threw more touchdowns than interceptions. Last season he averaged 266 passing yards per game that he started in.

Brown is priced low as he has not had the greatest production so far this season. This is in large part due to not getting many touches. Last week he had 11 carries for 50 yards. The week before he had 15 carries. It does seem that Edmonton is giving him more touches lately in an effort to establish the run.
Brady Oliveira, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, RB

Oliveira is not necessarily a steal at his price but he is playing the Edmonton Elks this week who have given up the most rushing yards this season. Olviera will be motivated to have a big game after averaging 2 yards per carry last week. The league leader in rushing yards could have a big game against the team that gives up the most rushing yards.
Nate Behar, Ottawa RedBlacks, WR

The RedBlacks receiving room has been one I’ve mostly avoided so far this season. Dustin Crum was Ottawa’s 4th quarterback to start a game so far this season. Behar was targetted by Crum 14 times of which he caught 10 of those passes for 87 yards. Fantasy is about volume and the 14 targets are a good indicator of volume coming Behar’s way.

The CFL rookie has been quite good when he has played. Last week he caught 6 of his 9 targets for 70 yards. He is available at a new price due to his limited number of games played.

Begelton caught 3 of his 7 targets for 92 yards in week 6. He is going to keep getting a lot of targets with Malik Henry being done for the year and is still at a great price on Draft Kings for a player who is Calgary’s WR1.
Kendall Watson, Saskatchewan Roughriders, WR

Watson has stepped up in a big way in the last couple of games. He has come in for Saskatchewan due to injuries. Last week he was the most targetted receiver for the Riders catching 6 of his 8 targets for 43 yards. Based on the targets he’s been getting a uptick in production would not be a surprise.

From a points-per-game perspective, Jones is 3rd among receivers. Last week Jones had 3 catches on 4 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown. He had a 69-yard miracle touchdown in which there was some luck involved to the effect that it deflected off a Stampeders defender rather than being intercepted. Regardless Jones has been great this season.
Keon Hatcher, BC Lions, WR
