Dustin Crum, Ottawa RedBlacks, QB vs Hamilton

Ownership Percentage: 60%

The Kent State product has looked like a future star in his first 2 starts putting together 2 overtime wins. Crum has completed 71 of his 49 passes for 518 yards and 2 touchdowns with 1 interception over his 2 starts. He has also added an impressive 166 yards on 18 rushes and 2 touchdowns. A dual-threat quarterback is tremendously valuable in fantasy.

Draft Kings: His Draft Kings price now is more mid-range range so he’s not exactly a steal in daily fantasy but still is a very good deal based on his production so far.

110Yards: If Dustin Crum is available in your league then thank your lucky stars and add the Cookie Monster to your team. 

Taylor Powell, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, QB @ Ottawa

Draft Kings Price: $9.1K

Ownership Percentage: 21%

Taylor Powell had his first career CFL start last week against Toronto. He completed 27 of his 41 passes (66%) for 282 yards and had 1 interception and rushed 4 times for 37 yards and a touchdown. He looked very comfortable in his first start and did a great job making quick reads and getting rid of the ball quickly and accurately. He had the 4th most points among CFL quarterbacks last week in just his first start.

Bo Levi Mitchell is back practicing now at a limited capacity so there is a small chance tha Bo Levi Mitchell will be back at QB for Hamilton.

Taquan Mizzell, BC Lions, RB @ Edmonton

Ownership Percentage: 40%

Taquan Mizzell had a great first 4 games in his rookie CFL season. He missed the last 2 games due to a knee injury. He has an impressive 5.3 yards per carry so far this season. He does not have any touchdowns this season which is partially why his fantasy average is not higher. If he’s healthy this week that’s who I am going with. Mizzell was a full participant in practice on Tuesday. BC is playing Edmonton who has been the worst team so far at stopping the run.

With Vernon Adams Jr. getting banged up and leaving the game in BC’s last game, providing run support is going to be increasingly important in week 8 for BC.

William Stanback, Montreal Alouettes, RB vs Calgary

Ownership Percentage: 69%

William Stanback is having somewhat of a down year by his standard but that’s primarily due to not getting many touches. He’s a risk to add right now based on his low amount of touches but perhaps Montreal will be looking to commit more to establishing the run more coming off their bye following a 3-game losing skid.

Nate Behar, Ottawa RedBlacks, WR vs Hamilton

Draft Kings Price: $4.3K

Behar has been on a tear since Crum took over for Ottawa. In week 6 he was targetted by Crum 14 times of which he caught 10 of those passes for 87 yards. In week 7 he was the most-targeted Ottawa receiver again catching 8 of his 10 targets for 81 yards.

Justin Hardy, Ottawa RedBlacks, WR vs Hamilton

Last week he was the 2nd most targetted receiver for Ottawa as he caught 7 of his 8 targets for 94 yards and a touchdown.

Reggie Begelton, Calgary Stampeders, WR @ Montreal

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 88%

Since Malik Henry is injured the rest of the season Begelton has been the top target in Calgary.

Tevin Jones, Saskatchewan Roughriders, WR @ Toronto

He averages 16.9 fantasy points per game this season. He’s simply been a superstar for Saskatchewan thus far. Jones was a nonparticipant in practice Tuesday due to illness so proceed with caution here.

Keon Hatcher, BC Lions, WR @ Edmonton

He has 30 points in the 2 games he played with Vernon Adams Jr. so far this season. He had 11 in the game last week in which VA left with an injury.

Duke Williams, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, WR @ Ottawa

Williams has the highest fantasy points per game of any Hamilton receiver and is available at a good price.

Quartney Davis, Montreal Alouettes, WR vs Calgary

If you need a player for a low price to fill out your Draft Kings roster Quartney Davis is a great choice. Davis has had 6 targets in both of his games so far that he’s played and was the third most targetted receiver in both games. He has a great ability to win balls over defenders.

Snead had 3 touchdowns in Montreal’s last game on 3 catches. He could be in store for a greater target load now that he is suddenly the team leader in receiving touchdowns.

Barnes had himself a day last week. He has been solidifying himself in the Stampeders’ starting lineup lately. Last week the rookie out of Guelph was tied for 2nd in targets for Calgary as he caught 5 of his 7 targets for 87 yards and a touchdown.

Was tied last week for 2nd in targets for Calgary catching 6 of his 7 targets for 101 yards and a touchdown.

Marken Michel, Calgary Stampeders, WR @ Montreal

Ownership Percentage: 19%

Last week Michel caught 4 of his 5 targets for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns. 75 of his yards were YAC in a very impressive performance. I don’t see this getting replicated against Montreal’s defnese but it is possible Michel could be in store for a larger target load moving forward.

NFL fans will likely be familiar with his brother, Sony Michel of the Los Angeles Rams.
