BC Lions Sign American DB Denzel Williams

The BC Lions announced on Thursday the signing of American defensive back Denzel Williams.

DB Daniel Williams  – Villanova (25 y/o, 5’10, 180 lbs)

Denzel Williams played his first 3 seasons at Sacred Heart where he appeared in 28 games with 9 starts contributing 27 solo tackles and 8 assisted tackles. He played his final 2 seasons for Villanova from 2020 to 2021 where he played and started in 15 games. At Villanova, he contributed 17 solo tackles, 11 assisted tackles, 7 passes defended, 2 interceptions, and 2 tackles for a loss.

While at Villanova he was named to the CAA Commissioner’s Honour Roll Award in the Spring and Fall of 2020 as well as the Spring of 2021.

Williams signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and was released on August 13. He spent time with the Philadelphia Stars of the USFL in 2023 where he appeared in 1 game.
