Hatch is Back, BC Lions Sign WR Keon Hatcher 1 Day After His Release

The BC Lions on Monday have signed WR Keon Hatcher to a 1-year contract. Hatcher was just released by the team on Sunday, which he requested, as the two parties were unable to agree on a restructured contract. Hatcher was previously going to collect a $40,000 bonus on February 7 if his previous contract was still active.

Hatcher broke a thousand yards receiving in his 2nd season in the CFL in 2022 with 5 touchdowns and topped that with a 1,226-yard season in 2023 with 6 touchdowns and was named a CFL All-Star. He suffered a torn Achilles in the Western Final loss to Winnipeg in 2023 and his recovery lasted into the 2024 season.

This past season Hatcher recorded 38 receptions for 608 yards over 11 games. He had his biggest game of the year in week 21 when he hauled in 8 passes for 117 yards against the Montreal Alouettes.

Hatcher still showed himself to be playing at a very high level this past season. The news of him being back in the black and orange is fantastic news for BC Lions fans.
