Toronto Argonauts Overview
The Toronto Argonauts head into Week 15 looking to snap a two-game losing streak after falling to the Ottawa Redblacks 41-27 last week. With a 6-6 record, the Argonauts find themselves in third place in the East Division and will be eager to right the ship against a tough BC Lions team.
Key Players Chad Kelly (QB) Kelly is coming off a career-best performance, throwing for 463 yards last week against Ottawa. He’s shown flashes of brilliance this season but needs to cut down on turnovers, having thrown 6 interceptions to just 4 touchdowns.
Ka’Deem Carey (RB) Carey has been a workhorse for the Argonauts, amassing 770 rushing yards and 263 receiving yards. He’s just 5 yards shy of reaching 1,000 career receiving yards and will look to hit that milestone against BC.
Damonte Coxie (WR) Coxie has emerged as Kelly’s top target, leading the team with 617 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns on 40 receptions. His big-play ability will be crucial against BC’s secondary.
Makai Polk (WR) Polk is coming off his first 100+ yard game and has shown steady improvement throughout the season. He’s become a reliable option in the passing game with 35 catches for 455 yards.
Jake Ceresna (DL) Ceresna anchors a strong Argonauts front seven that ranks second against the run. His ability to pressure the quarterback and disrupt the run game will be key in slowing down BC’s offense.
Keys to the Game
Establish the run game The Argonauts need to get Ka’Deem Carey going early to take pressure off Chad Kelly and keep BC’s offense off the field.
Limit turnovers Kelly has shown a tendency for interceptions, which could be costly against an opportunistic BC defense. Ball security will be paramount.
Contain Nathan Rourke BC’s quarterback has thrown for 300+ yards in his last two starts. Toronto’s secondary needs to limit big plays and force Rourke into difficult throws.
Win the trenches Both teams feature strong offensive and defensive lines. Whichever team can control the line of scrimmage will likely come out on top.
Injury Report
Depth Chart The Argonauts’ official depth chart can be found on the team’s website, but here’s a brief overview of key positions:
Score Prediction BC Lions 28 – Toronto Argonauts 24
The Argonauts will put up a fight, but BC’s home-field advantage and more consistent quarterback play will be the difference. Expect a closely contested game that comes down to the fourth quarter, with BC making just enough plays to secure the win.

It’s a battle between the CFL’s highest profile quarterbacks. Chad Kelly needs better receivers. Michael Thomas and Julio Jones are still free agents. MLSE can afford to sign them, just as B.C. can afford to sign Chase Claypool. They should forgo the salary cap and fill their seats.

Yeah, MLSE should spend a few hundred million to sign an NFL-calibre lineup. The heck with the cap and the health of the league overall.
