Week 3 Wide Reciever Stars of the Week:
1st Star: Tim White (HAM)
12 targets, 7 catches, 143 yards, 44 YAC
2nd Star: Austin Mack (MTL)
6 targets, 5 catches, 81 yards, 2 touchdowns, 49 YAC
3rd Star: Alexander Hollins (BC)
10 targets, 8 catches, 83 yards, 1 touchdown, 17 YAC
1. Dominique Rhymes, BC Lions, Previous Ranking #WR1
2 GP, 12 Receptions, 172 Yards, and 3 touchdowns.
Dominique Rhymes did not play in BC’s win against Winnipeg in week 3 due to a foot injury.1.
2. Dalton Schoen, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Previous Ranking #WR1
3 GP, 15 Receptions, 239 Yards, and 1 touchdown.
Schoen was limited much like most of Winnipeg’s offense against BC in what was a strong defensive performance by them. Schoen caught 2 of his 6 targets for 34 yards. Winnipeg plays next in Montreal on Canada Day.
3. Tim White, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Previous Ranking #WR4
3 GP, 16 Receptions, 258 Yards, and 1 touchdown.
Tim White caught 7 of his 12 targets for 143 yards. His first 2 receptions were big with a 61-yarder and then a 54-yard reception. After that, he was limited to 28 yards the rest of the game. It is still a sign of hope for Hamilton fans and a good indicator of his ability to make big plays.
4. Tevin Jones, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Previous Ranking WR#9
2 GP, 14 Receptions, 196 Yards, and 1 touchdown.
Jones followed up his big performance against Winnipeg by catching 5 of his 7 targets for 75 yards and a touchdown in Saskatchewan’s win against Calgary. He was the most targetted receiver for Saskatchewan in the game.
5. Austin Mack, Montreal Alouettes, Previous Ranking #WR10
2 GP, 9 Receptions, 201 Yards, and 2 touchdowns.
Austin Mack had another big game in which he had 5 catches on 6 targets for 81 yards and 2 touchdowns. His big play of the day was a 48-yard touchdown in which he broke a tackle and took off for 40 yards of YAC.
6. Alexander Hollins, BC Lions, Previous Ranking #WR16
3 GP, 19 Receptions, 221 Yards, and 1 touchdown.
Hollins has been excellent for BC and is currently their leader in receiving yards. Against Winnipeg, he had 8 catches on 10 targets for 83 yards and a touchdown. BC has been dealing with some injuries to some of their top receivers and Hollins has answered the call to step into a bigger role.
7. Tre Odoms-Dukes, Calgary Stampeders, Previous Ranking #WR14
3 GP, 14 Receptions, 192 Yards, and 1 touchdown.
Tre Odoms-Dukes is likely going to be the WR1 for Calgary for some time as Malik Henry suffered a season-ending injury in week 3 and Reggie Begelton is on the 6-game injured list.
Tre Odoms-Dukes had 4 catches on 9 targets for 63 yards against Saskatchewan.
8. Eugene Lewis, Edmonton Elks, Previous Ranking #WR5
3 GP, 11 Receptions, 200 Yards, and 1 touchdown.
The high point of Eugene Lewis’ game against Toronto was almost scoring a touchdown, the low point was having the ball stripped out of his hands just before breaking the goal line. Lewis had 5 catches on 6 targets for 43 yards against Toronto. The quarterback situation in Edmonton has so many question marks that the overall passing game for Edmonton is just a big question mark at this point.
9. Nic Demski, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Previous Ranking #WR10
3 GP, 17 Receptions, 224 Yards, and 1 touchdown.
Nic Demski had the most receptions for Winnipeg catching 7 of 6 targets for 5 yards. He also added a 9-yard rush. The target he did not catch went off his hands right to a BC Lions player for an interception and was a play you really want to see a player of Demski’s pedigree make the catch on.
10. Duke Williams, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Previous Ranking #WR12
3 GP, 14 Receptions, 260 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Williams had a lot of yards against Montreal in week 3 hauling in 5 of 10 targets for 102 yards. Hamilton attempted 47 passes in the loss to Montreal and Matthew Shiltz had 345 yards. Williams may have had a slightly inflated level of production due to the high amount of pass attempts by Hamilton.
11. Shawn Bane, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Previous Ranking #WR34
3 GP, 15 Receptions, 245 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Shawn Bane had 3 catches on 6 targets for 77 yards. 72 of his yards were YAC and his biggest play was 60 yards. He showed again his ability to get YAC and make big plays after he had 62 yards YAC against Winnipeg in the week before and his longest play was a 45-yard reception.
12. Samuel Emilus, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Previous Ranking #WR35
3 GP, 13 Receptions, 186 Yards, and 3 touchdowns.
Emilus had 3 catches on 5 targets for 57 yards in the win against Calgary. Things are trending in the right direction for Saskatchewan’s passing game.
13. Steven Dunbar Jr., Edmonton Elks, Previous Ranking #WR17
3 GP, 14 Receptions, 151 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Despite the fact that Edmonton had 3 quarterbacks come into the game, Dunbar had 8 catches for 98 yards. He led Edmonton in receptions and yards. He was the most targetted receiver for Edmonton with 12 targets in week 3.
14. Lucky Whitehead, BC Lions, Previous Ranking #WR15
2 GP, 8 Receptions, 100 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Had a good game against Winnipeg as he caught 5 of his 8 targets for 72 yards. He did have 1 drop that in my opinion, a receiver of his reputation should have had. He had a very good game overall during the absence of Dominique Rhymes and was second on the team in yards.
15. Kaion Julien-Grant, Montreal Alouettes, Previous Ranking #WR37
2 GP, 8 Receptions, 156 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Kaion Julien-Grant had a great game in week 3 in which he was Montreal’s most targetted receiver. He caught 6 passes on 8 targets for 94 yards. Across the 2 games Montreal has played he has been Cody Fajardo’s 2nd most targetted receiver.
16. Damonte Coxie, Toronto Argonauts, Previous Ranking #WR8
2 GP, 7 Receptions, 164 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
After a big performance in Toronto’s season opener, it seemed Coxie was going to be one of the more targetted receivers. In his second game, he had 1 target which he caught for 33 yards.
17. Drew Wolitarsky, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Previous Ranking #WR33
3 GP, 11 Receptions, 158 Yards, and 2 touchdowns.
Wolitarsky had 6 targets of which he caught 3 of them for 35 yards. One of the targets would have been a touchdown had it not been for Gary Peters knocking down the pass. Wolitarsky has continued to have a healthy number of targets every game.
18. Cole Tucker, Calgary Stampeders, Previous Ranking Unranked
1 GP, 5 Receptions, 74 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Tucker had 5 catches on 7 targets for 60 yards. With injuries to two of Calgary’s top receivers, Tucker will have an opportunity for a lot of targets moving forward.
19. Kurleigh Gittens Jr., Toronto Argonauts, Previous Ranking #WR8
1 GP, 3 Receptions, 38 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Gittens Jr. was on the 1-game injured list in week 3 due to a hamstring injury. In week 2 he had 3 catches on 7 targets for 38 yards. It is yet to be seen how much time he will miss due to the injury.
20. Quan Bray, Ottawa Redblacks, Previous Ranking Unranked
*Update: Quan Bray was been released on 6/29/2023 due to off-field allegations.*
2 GP, 7 Receptions, 153 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
In Ottawa’s last game in week 2, Bray had 4 catches on 7 targets for 95 yards. Bray is the only receiver for Ottawa to have over 100 yards receiving on the season thus far.
21. Justin McInnis, BC Lions, Previous Ranking Unranked
3 GP, 10 Receptions, 150 Yards, and 1 touchdown.
McInnis has had 8 targets in each of the last 2 games. In week 2 BC was without Lucky Whitehead in addition to Keon Hatcher, in week 3 Dominique Rhymes was injured. McInnis has served well taking a bigger role and keeping the passing game rolling for BC. Against Winnipeg, he had 4 catches for 79 yards.
22. Jaelon Acklin, Ottawa Redblacks, Previous Ranking #WR9
2 GP, 4 Receptions, 37 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Ottawa was on the bye week for week 3. In week 2 Acklin caught 2 of his 6 targets for 13 yards. Ottawa’s passing game should improve when Jeremiah Masoli is able to play again. He was a division all-star last season so I have to assume more production will come in the future.
23. Devaris Daniels, Toronto Argonauts, Previous Ranking #WR17
2 GP, 3 Receptions, 52 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Daniels had 1 reception for 23 yards in Toronto’s Week 3 win over Edmonton. He had 3 targets in week 3.
24. Justin Hardy, Ottawa Redblacks, Previous Ranking #WR19
2 GP, 10 Receptions, 84 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Ottawa was on the bye week in week 3. Had 6 catches on 11 targets for 57 yards in week 2.
25. Nate Behar, Ottawa Redblacks, Previous Ranking #WR20
2 GP, 8 Receptions, 59 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Ottawa was on the bye week in week 3. In week 2 Behar had 3 catches on 6 targets for 13 yards.
26. Rasheed Bailey, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Previous Ranking #WR25
3 GP, 7 Receptions, 47 Yards, and 1 touchdown.
Bailey caught 2 of his 4 targets for 18 yards. He also had 1 rush for 4 yards. Bailey had the least amount of targets among the 5 starting receivers for Winnipeg in week 3. He is due for a breakout game at any moment.
27. Carlton Agudosi, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Previous Ranking #WR36
3 GP, 9 Receptions, 120 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Agudosi had the most yards for Winnipeg in week 3 catching 5 of his 7 targets for 61 yards. The number of targets could be a possible indicator of a big game on the horizon for Agudosi.
28. David Ungerer III, Toronto Argonauts, Previous Ranking Unranked
2 GP, 3 Receptions, 75 Yards, and 1 touchdown.
Week 3 was Ungerer’s first game as a starter this year. He caught all 3 of his targets, had the team lead in receiving yards with 75, and caught the lone passing touchdown. A really good game for Ungerer and a possible indicator of more targets coming his way.
29. Jake Wieneke, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Previous Ranking #WR26
3 GP, 12 Receptions, 109 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Wieneke was tied for 2nd in targets for Saskatchewan in week 3 as he had 4 receptions on 6 targets for 27 yards. He has been a frequent target for Trevor Harris.
30. Kiondre Smith, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Previous Ranking Unranked
3 GP, 10 Receptions, 91 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Smith caught 3 of his 4 targets for 26 yards in week 3.
31. Luther Hakunavhunhu, Calgary Stampeders, Previous Ranking #WR28
3 GP, 5 Receptions, 74 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Hakunavanhu had 3 catches on 6 targets for 58 yards. He will likely be asked to fill a larger role given the injuries to Malike Henry and Reggie Begelton.
32. Terry Godwin, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Previous Ranking Unranked
3 GP, 12 Receptions, 98 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Godwin caught 4 of his 5 targets in week 3 for 57 yards in Hamilton’s loss to Montreal.
33. Kyran Moore, Edmonton Elks, Previous Ranking #WR30
3 GP, 6 Receptions, 57 Yards, and 1 touchdown.
Moore had 5 receptions for 48 yards in Edmonton’s loss to Toronto.
34. Cole Spieker, Montreal Alouettes, Previous Ranking #WR24
2 GP, 2 Receptions, 36 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Spieker has not had a significant amount of targets thus far. After not being targetted in week 1, he had 2 catches on 3 targets for 36 yards, 19 of which were YAC yards.
35. Hergy Mayala, Montreal Alouettes, Previous Ranking #WR
2 GP, 3 Receptions, 30 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Mayala did not have any targets in the win against Hamilton. I believe Mayala and Spieker will have some more productive games on the horizon especially if Montreal is trailing and looks to attempt more passes. So far Montreal has been attempting the fewest amount of passes per game but they have only played 2 games thus far.
36. Dejon Brissett, Toronto Argonauts, Previous Ranking Unranked
Brissett was the most targetted receiver for Toronto in the win over Edmonton. He caught 4 of his 8 targets for 63 yards.
37. Cam Philips, Toronto Argonauts, Previous Ranking Unranked
2 GP, 3 Receptions, 69 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Phillips had 2 catches on 5 targets for 61 yards. He was the 2nd most targeted receiver for Toronto in their win over Edmonton.
38. Vincent Forbes-Mombleau, Edmonton Elks, Previous Ranking Unranked
2 GP, 3 Receptions, 93 Yards, and 2 touchdowns.
Vincent Forbes-Mombleau caught both of his targets for 86 yards and 2 touchdowns. He had an 84-yard touchdown in the final minute of the game which he took advantage of a deflected ball that he took for 53 yards YAC. He has only been targetted 4 times in his 2 games by Edmonton’s passing offense. The 84-yard touchdown was somewhat of a fluke that should have been an interception. His 2 touchdowns make him the team leader in receiving touchdowns, but his 3 catches make him 7th on the team in receptions. He may get more targets moving forward after his 2 touchdown day but based on what we have seen thus far other receivers will be getting the majority of the targets.
39. Dillon Mitchell, Edmonton Elks, Previous Ranking #WR16
3 GP, 4 Receptions, 7 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Mitchell had 1 catch for 6 yards in Edmonton’s loss to Toronto. He had 2 targets in week 3. Mitchell is a good receiver but he’s just not getting much production yet this year and there’s not yet been much to inspire hope with Edmonton’s quarterback situation.
40. Jevon Cottoy, BC Lions, Previous Ranking Unranked
3 GP, 9 Receptions, 99 Yards, and 0 touchdowns.
Caught his only target for 11 yards in the win against Winnipeg. With all the injuries in BC’s receiving room there is possibility for him to step up into a larger role should Dominique Rhymes or Lucky Whitehead need to miss more time. The same can be said for Lions’ teammate Ayden Eberhardt.
Injured Reserve
All players on the injured reserve for this ranking will be placed outside of the rankings. When they come off of the 6-game injured reserve their rank will be restored.
Season Over – Malik Henry, Calgary Stampeders, Previous Ranking #WR3
Malik Henry had a productive game for Calgary catching 4 of his 7 targets for 92 yards and a touchdown. He left the game with an injury and it was announced Sunday that he will miss the rest of the season with a ruptured Achilles. This is a tremendous loss for Calgary.
6-Game IR – Reggie Begelton, Calgary Stampeders, Previous Ranking #WR6
Reggie Begelton was placed on the 6-game injured list prior to Calgary’s loss against Saskatchewan. Calgary will hope he is ready sooner than later as Malik Henry suffered a season-ending injury in week 3.
6-Game IR – Kenny Lawler, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Previous Ranking #WR7
Still on the suspended list as an immigration issue is resolved.
6-Game IR – Greg Ellingson, Montreal Alouettes, Previous Ranking #WR11
On the 6 game-injured list to start the season.
6-Game IR – Derel Walker, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Previous Ranking #WR18
Derel Walker was placed on the 6-game injured list following the first game of the season.
21. Kian Schaffer-Baker, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Previous Ranking #WR18
On the 6 game-injured lists to start the season.

On the 6 game-injured list to start the season.

Was placed on the 6 game injury list prior to Toronto’s first game.
6-Game IR – Bralon Addison, Ottawa Redblacks, Previous Ranking #WR27
