CFL Scores Today: Roughriders Rally for 33-30 Win Over Tiger-Cats

Roughriders Offense Comes Alive in Second Half

After a sluggish first half, the Roughriders offense found its rhythm in the final two quarters. Quarterback Trevor Harris led the charge, completing 32 of 45 passes for 390 yards and 2 touchdowns.

His top targets were:

– Kian Schaffer-baker: 7 receptions, 109 yards, 2 TDs
– Jerreth Sterns: 6 receptions, 112 yards
– Ajou Ajou: 5 receptions, 41 yards
– Samuel Emilus: 5 receptions, 45 yards
– Shawn Bane Jr.: 4 receptions, 50 yards

The ground game was led by A.J. Ouellette who rushed 11 times for 32 yards. Ouellette also contributed in the passing game with 4 receptions for 27 yards.

Roughriders Defense Makes Key Plays
The Roughriders defense came up with timely stops in the second half to aid the comeback. The top defensive performers were:

– Marcus Sayles: 7 tackles
– C.J. Reavis: 4 tackles
– Deontai Williams: 4 tackles
– Rolan Milligan Jr.: 4 tackles
– Jameer Thurman: 4 tackles

Rookie C.J. Avery also recorded an interception, his first in the CFL.

Tiger-Cats Falter After Fast Start

The Tiger-Cats jumped out to a 20-7 halftime lead but were outscored 26-10 in the second half. Quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell had a strong performance in defeat, throwing for 380 yards and 3 touchdowns with 1 interception.

His favorite targets were:

– Kiondre Smith: 6 receptions, 119 yards, 1 TD
– Shemar Bridges: 6 receptions, 72 yards, 1 TD
– James Butler: 5 receptions, 40 yards
– Tim White: 4 receptions, 57 yards
– Steven Dunbar Jr.: 3 receptions, 73 yards, 1 TD

Butler also led the rushing attack with 12 carries for 27 yards.

Tiger-Cats Defense Unable to Hold Lead
Despite the loss, the Tiger-Cats defense had some strong individual efforts:

– Kenneth Jr George: 9 tackles
– Kyle Wilson: 6 tackles
– Stavros Katsantonis: 5 tackles
– Brandon Barlow: 4 tackles, 3 sacks
– Dexter Lawson Jr.: 4 tackles

However, they were unable to slow down the Roughriders offense when it mattered most, surrendering the lead in the fourth quarter.
