Montreal Alouettes Sign Ex-FSU Offensive Tackle Jazston Turnetine

The Montreal Alouettes announced on Tuesday the signing of American offensive tackle Jazston Turnetine.

WR Jazston Turnetine – Florida State (6’7, 342 lbs)

Jazston Turnetine began his career at Hutchinson Community College (KS) where he started at offensive tackle in 2018 and 2019. The program went 19-5 over that span and won the Salt City Bowl in both seasons. He earned Second-Team All-America

Turnetine played for South Carolina in 2020 and 2021. In 2020 he appeared in 6 games and made three starts at left tackle. In 2021 he played in 11 games for the Gamecocks with 7 starts at left tackle.

He played his final season with the Florida State Seminoles in 2022 where he appeared in 13 games with 8 starts. He was a part of a highly effective offense as Florida State averaged 214.1 yards rushing per game over the season and 270.2 yards passing.

Turnetine went undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft but did have a workout with the Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars. He was drafted by the Seattle Sea Dragons in the 2023 XFL Rookie Draft in June. The Sea Dragons did not survive the merger with the USFL and Turnetine was acquired by the St. Louis Battlehawks in the XFL Dispersal Draft. He was waived by the Battle Hawks as the team cut its roster down to 58 players on March 10.
