The Calgary Stampeders are coming off a tough loss to Toronto, and they’ll look to get back to .500 at home against the Ottawa Redblacks team that settled for a rare tie last week against Saskatchewan. Calgary’s quarterback Jake Maier is currently third in yards having completed 71.9% of his passes for 2,355 yards with 14 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. Ottawa saw quarterback Dru Brown leave the game early last week with an injury. Jeremiah Masoli will start at quarterback. Masoli played in 1 game last year which saw an early end to his season with a torn Achilles.

Montreal Alouettes (8-1) @ Saskatchewan Roughriders (5-3-1)
Friday, August 16, 9:00 PM Eastern (8:00 PM Central), Regina, SK, TSN (Canada), CFL+ (USA), CFL+ (Global)
The current West Division leader the Saskatchewan Roughriders will host the East Division leader and reigning Grey Cup Champions on Friday. Saskatchewan has not won a game since week 7’s 19-9 win over Winnipeg and they are coming off a strange 22-22 tie to Ottawa last week. Montreal has only lost 1 game out of their last 16 which saw quarterback Cody Fajardo leave the game with a hamstring injury in the week 6 loss to Toronto 18-37. Fajardo has missed every game since due to the injury but was a full participant in practice on Wednesday.
Writer’s Pick: 100% Montreal
Edmonton Elks (2-7) @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2-7)
Saturday, August 17, 7:00 PM Eastern (5 PM MT), Hamilton, ON, TSN (Canada), CBS Sports (USA), CFL+ (Global)
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will be starting Taylor Powell at quarterback moving away from Bo Levi Mitchell who leads the league in passing yards (2,522), passing touchdowns, (18), and interceptions (10). Edmonton has some uncertainty about who will start at quarterback after Tre Ford left the game due to injury and was relieved by McLeod Bethel Thompson. Both quarterbacks played well in the 33-16 win over BC for the Elks last week.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers (3-6) @ BC Lions (5-4)
Sunday, August 18, 7:00 PM Eastern (6 PM CT), Vancouver, BC, TSN (Canada), CBS Sports (USA), CFL+ (Global)
Quarterback Nathan Rourke is back in BC after signing with the Lions who are on a 3-game losing slide. There is some talk that Rourke will potentially start in this game. Winnipeg is coming off of their bye week after they had a dominant victory in week 9 at home against BC winning 25-0. With Winnipeg trying to claw its way back into the West playoff race, this will be a key match for both teams.
