We are entering the final third of the CFL season, or as I like to call it, the third period. The CFL standings have become congested in recent weeks and the season is shaping up to have an exciting playoff race. This week there are only 3 games as 3 teams are on the bye. The only other regular season weeks we will have less than 4 games will come in weeks 20 and 21.
All games will be broadcast on TSN in Canada. In the US, the Thursday and Friday games will be streamable for free on CFL Plus while the Saturday and Sunday games will be on CBS Sports Network. All 4 games will be viewable on CFL Plus outside of the US and Canada.

Toronto Argonauts (6-6) @ BC Lions (7-6)
Friday, September 13, 10:0 PM Eastern (7:00 PM PT), Vancouver, BC, TSN (Canada), CFL+ (USA, Global)
The Toronto Argonauts will look to get back in the win column after losing their last 2. The Argos are 2 and a half games behind Ottawa for 2nd in the East and will need to have a strong finish if they will have a chance at hosting a playoff game this season. Last week Chad Kelly threw the ball a ton as he completed 36 of his 56 passes for 463 yards with 3 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.
Meanwhile, the BC Lions are coming off a big win on the road 37-23 in Montreal. The Lions are 2nd in the West trailing Winnipeg due to a head-to-head tiebreaker. Last week Nathan Rourke completed 22 of his 28 passes for 304 yards with 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions, although 2 of the picks were off tipped balls.
Writer’s Pick: 71% BC
Ottawa RedBlacks (8-3-1) @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats (3-9)
Saturday, September 14, 3:00 PM Eastern (4:00 PM Central), Hamilton, ON, TSN (Canada), CFL+ (USA, Global)
The Ottawa RedBlacks are coming off a 41-27 win over Toronto and only have 1 loss since week 5. They are currently just a game and a half behind Montreal for first in the league and division. Last week Dru Brown completed 30 of his 40 passes for 349 yards and a touchdown.
Hamilton is coming off of the bye week. Week 13 saw the Ti-Cats win 31-28 over Toronto. Bo Levi Mitchell completed 20 of his 30 passes in the win for 347 yards and 2 touchdowns. Taylor Powell should be available this week as he has been a full participant in practice after missing the last game with a head injury, so Hamilton will have options regarding who gets the start.
Writer’s Pick: 57% Ottawa
Montreal Alouettes (10-2) @ Calgary Stampeders (4-8)
Saturday, September, 14, 7:00 PM Eastern (6 PM CT), Calgary, AB, TSN (Canada), CFL+ (USA, Global)
The Montreal Alouettes are coming off their 2nd loss of the season after losing 23-37 at home to BC. Cody Fajardo completed 27 of his 37 passes for 240 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception last week. Montreal still holds a good lead for first in the league but will need to finish strong to hold that position.
The Calgary Stampeders need to finish strong. After losing their last 4 games they now find themselves in last place in the West but still only a game and a half out of the playoffs. The Stamps last week to Edmonton 16-37. Calgary made a change at quarterback in week 14 after Jake Maier struggled against Edmonton in week 13. Logan Bonner started against Edmonton in what was his first career start and completed 21 of his 36 passes for 284 yards with 5 interceptions. Calgary will try to right the passing game against a difficult pass defense this week.
Writer’s Pick: 100% Montreal
