Some notable games to watch are:
- Season Opener vs Elks, Elks swept the Redblacks when they met in Week 9 and Week 16.
- Week 10 and 11, back to back vs Montreal Alouettes. The Alouettes put up 105 points against the Redblack in 2019 across three games. They won 2 out of their 3 matchups that year.
- Home Opener in Week 4 against the BC Lions. Lions are also looking to bounce back from a below .500 2019 season where they went 5-13
- Week 8 and 12 vs the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, who are coming off an appearance in the 2019 Grey Cup
Even with new head coach Paul LaPolice at the helm, it won’t be an easy road to the championship for the Redblack. Their 2019 defense allowed the most points (564) and their offense scored the least amount of points (312). Hopefully they can find success in a shorten 2021 season.
The Candaian Football League kicks off August 5th at 8:30 PM EST, with a Grey Cup rematch between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers
