CFL Week 6 Fantasy Sleepers, High-Value Players: DraftKings, GameZone, 110Yards

Great deals on players flying under the radar who are of higher value than what their pricing or availability would indicate.

Great deals on players you can pick for your team this week in CFL weekly Fantasy games at Game Zone or Draft Kings as well as players who might be available in your head-to-head fantasy league at 110Yards.  Save some salary so you can afford some of the high-priced superstars.

Weekly Fantasy:

Game Zone is CFL’s new fantasy game on their website which is similar to Draft Kings and is a weekly fantasy game where you choose your team each week and have to stay within a certain salary cap. GameZone is a budget of $70K and Draft Kings is $50K.

Head-to-Head Fantasy:

110Yards is a more traditional fantasy football service where managers draft their teams and keep their players all season. 110yards.ca can also accommodate a league starting midway through the season.

A note on sports betting:

I want to encourage everyone to play responsibly if you do play at Draft Kings and not bet more than you’re willing to lose. I am personally of the belief that such activities are best enjoyed around dollar amounts you would spend at a fast food outing.

Last Week’s Fantasy Football Article

Taylor Cornelius, Edmonton Elks, QB

Draft Kings Price: $9.1K

Game Zone Price: $13K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 45%

Taylor Cornelius was back under center for Edmonton last week after some quarterback controversy in weeks 3-4. He completed 17 of his 29 passes for 226 yards. What makes General Cornelius so useful in fantasy is his ability and willingness to charge down the field. He had 58 rushing yards and a touchdown. He did have an interception on his final pass but he still was 2nd in fantasy points last week among quarterbacks.

Cody Fajardo, Montreal Alouettes, QB

Draft Kings Price: $9.5K

Game Zone Price: $15K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 87%

Fajardo had the most fantasy points last week among quarterbacks last week and is priced the 4th highest among quarterbacks on Draft Kings.

Dustin Crum, Ottawa Redblacks, QB

Draft Kings Price: $8.7K

Game Zone Price: $5K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 9%

Crum came in for the injured Jeremiah Masoli. He played just barely more than a half of football yet was 5th among the 8 quarterbacks to play last week in fantasy points. He had 149 yards passing and 91 yards rushing on 6 rushes. He had 2 interceptions and a rushing touchdown. It will be interesting to see what he does in a game where he is the starter. He is playing against Winnipeg who just held Jake Maier to only 122 yards last week.

Kevin Brown, Edmonton Elks, RB

Draft Kings Price: $7.4K

Game Zone Price: $15K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 51%

Brown had 15 carries for 65 yards against Saskatchewan last week and also caught both of his targets for 26 yards. He has had lower production at times as Edmonton went away from the rushing game but hopefully, this is an indicator that they will be running a more balanced offense moving forward. Brown is the lowest-priced starting runningback on Draft Kings this week but among the highest-priced on Game Zone. Edmonton plays Hamilton on Thursday at home.

De’Montre Tuggle, Ottawa Redblacks, RB

Draft Kings Price: $7.8K

Game Zone Price: $7.3K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 40%

He’s been getting a healthy amount of carries the last couple of weeks. He blew up in week 4 but then was pretty limited in week 5. Winnipeg allowed 70 rushing yards in the first quarter to Dedrick Mills last week. Tuggle could have a pretty productive day depending on how many touches he gets.

Dedrick Mills, Calgary Stampeders, RB

Draft Kings Price: $9.5K

Game Zone Price: $12.2K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 55%

It’s a mystery why he is priced only the 5th highest on Game Zone. On Draft Kings this week he is the highest-priced running back.

Quartney Davis, Montreal Alouettes, WR

Draft Kings Price: $2.5K

Game Zone Price: $4.9K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: >2%

Davis had his first career CFL game this past week. He had 2 catches for 50 yards in his CFL debut against one of the toughest defenses in the league, the BC Lions. He was targeted 6 times. This amount of targets in his first game could be a possible indicator of good things to come for the Texas A&M product.

Tyler Snead, Montreal Alouettes, WR

Draft Kings Price: $5.2K

Game Zone Price: $4.8K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 2%

Tyler Snead also made his CFL debut for Montreal this past week. He caught 4 of his 5 targets for 61 yards.

Reggie Begelton, Calgary Stampeders, WR

Draft Kings Price: $8.3K

Game Zone Price: $13.7K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 85%

While he is not priced very low I do foresee Begelton having some very big games down the rest of the stretch of the season. He is now the WR1 for Calgary with Malik Henry being done for the year. Calgary’s quarterback is coming off a down game against Winnipeg and will play against Saskatchewan Saturday night.

Tre Odoms-Dukes, Calgary Stampeders, WR

Draft Kings Price: $5.3K

Game Zone Price: $9.6K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 74%

Calgary is needing receivers to step into bigger roles. With Malik Henry being out for the year there will be a lot of targets now being distributed to other receivers in Calgary’s offense.

Maurice Ffrench, Edmonton Elks, WR

Draft Kings Price: $2.9K

Game Zone Price: $6.3K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 34%

He only had 1 catch for 30 yards in his 2nd game in the CFL this past week. He did have 6 targets and was tied for the 2nd most targeted receiver for Edmonton. In his first game in the CFL in week 4, he had 6 catches for 74 yards.

Tevin Jones, Saskatchewan Roughriders, WR

Draft Kings Price: $7.3K

Game Zone Price: $12.1K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 62%

Jones has emerged as a favorite target for Trevor Harris in Saskatchewan. He led the team again in targets last week as he had 4 catches on 7 targets for 6 yards.

Richie Sindani, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, WR

Draft Kings Price: $3K

Game Zone Price: $5.2K

110 Yards Ownership Percentage: 6%

In his first game of the season last week, he was the most targetted receiver for Hamilton as he caught 7 of his 8 targets for 59 yards.
