Winnipeg leaned on its backfield and a pair of trick-play touchdown runs from a backup quarterback to bury Ottawa for good.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers pulled away in the second quarter and never looked back, beating the Ottawa Redblacks 33-21 at Princess Auto Stadium. Winnipeg improves to 6-4 and stays in the thick of the West race, while Ottawa drops to a brutal 0-10 with no end in sight.

Quick Hits
Ottawa actually out-gained Winnipeg's air attack and finished with more passing yards, but three rushing touchdowns from the Bombers made the difference.
Bryce Perkins came in as a change-of-pace piece and scored twice on the ground on just four carries — a wildcat wrinkle that worked exactly as drawn up.
Maier threw for 314 yards and 2 TD in the loss, proof he can still put up numbers even when the record says otherwise — worth keeping an eye on for anyone still rostering him.
