The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are back on top of the Power Rankings as Montreal fell down the rankings due to a big loss in Vancouver. The season is winding down with only 1 week left to play. The playoff teams are set with the only thing yet to be determined is if the Western Final will be hosted by Winnipeg or Saskatchewan.
The Crown Holder and the Court Jester
Crown Holder 👑 – The Toronto Argonauts successfully defended the Crown with a 38-31 win over Ottawa. They will face Edmonton on Friday.
Court Jester 🃏 – The Calgary Stampeders were unable to force the title of Court Jester onto the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as they lost 20-42 on the road. They will have a chance to force the title onto the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday.
If a team defeats the Crown Holder they steal the Crown and become the new Crown Holder.
If a team loses to the Court Jester they become the new Court Jester thus freeing the previous team from being the Court Jester.

Like many CFL teams this season, Saskatchewan’s season has been a bit of a roller coaster. They opened the season with a 4-game win streak that saw them sitting on top of the division. They had a 7 game-winless streak that began in week 8 and have won their last 4 games since breaking the winless streak. Saskatchewan continued to play good football during the winless streak which saw only 1 game lost by more than 1 score. The Riders will finish first in the West if they win in Calgary and the Bombers also lost at home.

It’s not a large sample pool but after last week I’d say the BC Lions are back to a strong form and are again real Grey Cup contenders. Their rank is still the same in this power ranking as last week due to the fact that the 2 teams ahead of them also won and had recent victories over the Lions.
Vernon Adams Jr. completed 26 of his 36 passes for 385 yards and 2 touchdowns with 2 interceptions, 1 of which was off of a drop. Keon Hatcher caught 8 passes for 117 yards while Justin McInnis caught 7 for 106. Stanley Berryhill III had 3 catches for 81 yards and a touchdown. #7 Ottawa RedBlacks (8-8-1)
Previous Rank: 7
Week 13: Lost to BC 12-38 on the road.
Week 14: Defeated Toronto 41-27 at home.
Week 15: Lost to Hamilton 21-37 on the road.
Week 16: Lost to Montreal 12-24 at home.

Week 18: Bye week.
Week 19: Lost to Montreal 12-19 on the road.
Week 20: Lost to Toronto 31-38 on the road.
Week 21: Hosting Hamilton on Friday.
The Ottawa RedBlacks saw their losing streak extend to 5 games last week as they lost 31-38 on the road in Toronto. Dru Brown completed 31 of his 43 passes for 4 touchdowns with 1 interception. Kalil Pimpleton caught 7 passes for 114 yards, Justin Hardy caught 7 for 102 yards and a touchdown, and Bralon Addison caught 8 for 74 yards and 2 touchdowns. Khalan Laborn rushed 4 times for 11 yards.
Ottawa only had 8 rushes the entire game compared to their 31 passing plays. Dru Brown was highly effective but to pass more than 10 times as much as you hand the ball to your running back is a recipe for unsustainable football cultivating an overly predictable offense. If that continues I expect them to close out their season with a pair of losses.
#8 Edmonton Elks (6-11)
Previous Rank: 8
Week 13: Defeated Calgary 35-20 on the road.
Week 14: Defeated Calgary 37-16 at home.

Week 19: Defeated Calgary 23-18 on the road.
Week 20: Bye week.
Week 21: Hosting Toronto on Friday.

Week 15: Tied Montreal 19-19 at home.
Week 16: Lost to Saskatchewan 29-37 at home.
Week 17: Bye week.
Week 18: Lost to BC 15-32 on the road.
Week 19: Lost to Edmonton 18-23 at home.
Week 20: Lost to Hamilton 20-42 on the road.
Week 21: Visiting Saskatchewan on Saturday.
The Calgary Stampeders are now on a 9-game winless streak. Last week Matthew Shiltz completed 12 of his 24 passes for 124 yards and an interception and added 43 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.
