Ottawa RedBlacks (7-2-1) @ BC Lions (5-6)
Saturday, August 31, 7:00 PM Eastern (4:00 PM PT), Victoria, BC, TSN (Canada), CBS Sports (USA), CFL+ (Global)
The BC Lions will host the Ottawa RedBlacks in Victoria, BC for Touchdown Pacific. Nathan Rourke will start in the city of his birth as he looks to lead the Lions to snap a 5-game losing. The Ottawa RedBlacks have not lost a game over their last 6. The RedBlacks welcomed back Dru Brown last week after missing week 11 and he helped lead the team to victory over BC at home by a score of 34-27.
Writer’s Pick: 71% Ottawa
Winnipeg Blue Bombers (5-6) @ Saskatchewan Roughriders (5-5-1)
Sunday, September 1, 7:00 PM Eastern (8:00 PM Central), Regina, SK, TSN (Canada), CBS Sports (USA), CFL+ (Global)
The Saskatchewan Roughriders will host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Sunday night in front of a sold-out crowd at Mosaic Stadium. The Bombers have climbed the standings after starting the season 0-4 and now find themselves just half a game behind Saskatchewan in the West and tied with BC for 2nd in the division. Saskatchewan has not won a game over their last 5 games and will find their playoff pursuit become difficult quickly if they do not start putting together some wins.
Writer’s Pick: 71% Winnipeg
Toronto Argonauts (6-4) @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2-9)
Monday, September 2, 2:30 PM Eastern (3:30 PM CT), Hamilton, ON, TSN (Canada), CBS Sports (USA), CFL+ (Global)
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will host the Toronto Argonauts on Monday. Hamilton’s Bo Levi Mitchell currently leads the league in passing yards and touchdowns with 3,036 yards and 19 touchdowns, although he is tied for the most interceptions as well with 12. Toronto saw Chad Kelly play his first game of the season last week after serving a 9-game suspension in which he completed 61.5% of his passes for 322 yards with 1 interception.
Writer’s Pick: 57% Toronto
Edmonton Elks (3-8) @ Calgary Stampeders (4-6)
Monday, September 2, 6:00 PM Eastern (4 PM MT), Calgary, AB, TSN (Canada), CBS Sports (USA), CFL+ (Global)
The Calgary Stampeders will host the Edmonton Elks in the Battle of Alberta to wrap up Labour Day weekend. The Calgary Stampeders are coming off of their bye week and will find themselves tied for 5th in the West should they lose this contest. Jake Maier has completed 72.2% of his passes this season and is currently second in the league in passing yards with 2,624 and also has 14 touchdowns with 7 interceptions. The Edmonton Elks had a 3-game winning streak snapped last week on the road in Montreal 17-21. With Tre Ford limited in practice on Thursday as he works back from injury, it is not clear if McLeod Bethel-Thompson or Ford will be the starting QB for the Elks on Monday.
Writer’s Pick: 71% Edmonton
